- Afternoon: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM-1:30 AM

Job Summary

We are hiring a Mill Helper for a heavy industrial quarry operation in Woodstock. This is a hands-on mechanical role working with conveyors, gearboxes, screens, crushers, heavy mobile equipment, and other industrial machinery.

We are looking for candidates who have hands-on experience performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on heavy equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers, loaders, crushers, conveyors, and other heavy industrial equipment.

Millwright Apprentice candidates are strongly preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical background who wants to build long-term experience in quarry and industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

- Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of heavy industrial equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting to identify mechanical issues and assist with repairs.
- Work with gearboxes, conveyor belts, screens, crushers, and plant machinery.
- Assist with maintenance and repairs of skid steers, telehandlers, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
- Use hand tools and power tools for maintenance and repair work.
- Assist with fitting,



mechanical assembly, and basic welding.
- Support millwrights and maintenance personnel with daily mechanical tasks.
- Perform equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Follow strict safety, lockout/tagout, and PPE procedures.

Requirements

- 3-5 years of heavy industrial, mining, quarry, construction, or similar mechanical experience.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment is strongly preferred.
- Experience working on skid steers, telehandlers, loaders, crushers, conveyors, or similar heavy equipment is an asset.
- Millwright Apprentice experience strongly preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and power tool experience.
- Experience with industrial machinery, mechanical repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose basic mechanical issues and assist with repairs.
- Comfortable working 100% outdoors in extreme hot, cold, and dusty conditions.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Basic MIG, TIG, or Arc welding is an asset.
- Must pass qualitative and quantitative respirator fit testing.
- Must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face.
- English required.
