The Toronto Rehabilitation Institute seeks a Registered Nurse to focus on ABI rehabilitation, delivering comprehensive patient care in a agile team setting. Your expertise will empower patients and their families through education and support.
In this essential role, you will collaborate with a dedicated rehabilitation team to provide individualized care for patients recovering from brain injuries. Your tasks will include care planning, patient education on ABI rehabilitation, and participating in team meetings. Developing as a mentor, you will support both recent staff members and nursing students while ensuring adherence to safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage personalized nursing care for ABI patients
Educate patients' families on rehabilitation services
Contribute to interprofessional care planning and discussions
Mentor students and teach within a hospital context
Ensure compliance with established safety protocols
Requirements:
Preferred Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Previous experience in ABI rehabilitation preferred
Robust assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
