The Policy
Advisor, reporting to the Manager of Legislative Affairs, plays a pivotal role in supporting intergovernmental relations and strategic policy initiatives. You'll engage with federal, provincial, and international stakeholders, conduct legislative analysis, and assist in various policy files related to the Métis Nation. Your expertise will drive impactful recommendations that address systemic issues faced by the Métis community. Key Responsibilities:
Research and develop policy recommendations on legislative affairs
Coordinate strategic initiatives and engagement activities
Monitor legislative developments and advise leadership
Prepare advocacy materials and briefing notes
Facilitate engagement with various stakeholders Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience
Understanding of the Métis political landscape
Solid analytical and communication skills
Experience in policy development or stakeholder engagement
