Job Title: Pipelayer – Underground Utility & Civil Construction (Temp to Perm)

Our client is a well-established civil contractor specializing in underground utility and road construction for provincial, municipal, and private clients across Western Canada. They're growing — and looking for an experienced Pipelayer to join their team long-term.
What You'll Do
Install underground water, sanitary, and storm systems (PVC, HDPE, concrete, ductile iron)
Read drawings, grade stakes, and laser levels for exact pipe alignment and elevation
Prepare trenches — bedding, compaction, and trench safety
Direct equipment operators during trenching, lifting, and backfilling
Perform tie-ins, connections, and pressure testing support
Install manholes, catch basins, and related structures
Identify and manage underground utility hazards
Work as part of a tight-knit crew with foremen, operators, and labourers
What You Bring
3+ years of pipelaying experience in civil/underground construction
Confidence reading drawings and grades
Comfort working around heavy equipment and in trenches
Physical fitness for demanding manual labour
Solid communication and teamwork skills
Valid driver's license preferred; own transportation an asset
Nice to Have: CSTS, Confined Space Entry/Monitor, Ground Disturbance II, Occupational First Aid, pipe laser experience. What's Offered: $38 to $45 per hour
Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
Work Location: In person
