Mish Mish Mezza is seeking an experienced Shawarma Chef to join our kitchen team. We are looking for someone who understands authentic Middle Eastern flavours, can consistently prepare high-quality shawarma and works efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, season, stack and cook chicken and beef shawarma
Safely operate and maintain vertical shawarma machines
Slice and portion shawarma consistently according to company standards
Prepare marinades, sauces, vegetables and other ingredients
Assist with preparing Middle Eastern menu items as required
Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes and presentation guidelines
Monitor food quality, freshness and temperature
Maintain a clean, organized and properly stocked workstation
Follow all food-safety, sanitation and workplace-safety requirements
Assist with inventory control and advise management when supplies are low
Work closely with the kitchen team during busy service periods

Requirements
Previous skilled experience preparing shawarma is required




Strong knowledge of shawarma marination, stacking, cooking and slicing
Experience with Middle Eastern or Mediterranean cuisine is preferred
Valid Food Handler Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality and consistency
Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen cleanliness
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when required
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
