In this role, you will empower students to excel academically by providing personalized tutoring sessions that foster confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. This is a fantastic chance to make a meaningful impact while sharing your expertise in STEM subjects.
Duties
Deliver engaging one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in high school-level math and physics, tailored to each student’s learning style and needs
Assess students’ current understanding and develop customized lesson plans to address gaps and reinforce key concepts
Support students with homework, test preparation, and project work to improve their academic performance
Utilize effective teaching techniques, including visual aids, digital tools, and real-world examples to clarify complex topics
Track student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians as appropriate
Maintain a positive and inspiring learning setting that encourages questions, exploration,
and confidence-building
Collaborate with parents, teachers, or educational specialists when necessary to support student success
Requirements
Proven experience working with children or teenagers in an educational or tutoring setting
Strong knowledge of high school mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus) and physics concepts
Excellent teaching skills with the ability to explain difficult topics clearly and patiently
Familiarity with classroom teaching techniques and educational software or digital tools
Basic computer skills for scheduling sessions, tracking progress, and utilizing online resources
Experience with special education needs or adapting lessons for diverse learners is a plus
Background in computer science or related STEM fields is desirable but not required
