Puce River Marine Services is a growing marine service centre serving boaters throughout the Windsor-Essex and Lake St. Clair area. We are looking for an experienced Marine Technician to join our team and take a lead role in our service department.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on boats, solving problems, and dealing directly with customers. We are looking for a well-rounded technician who can work independently and take ownership of a job from diagnosis through completion.
The Role
As our lead technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of marine service and repair work, including diagnostics, maintenance, rigging, troubleshooting and repairs. You will also work directly with customers to understand their concerns, explain recommended repairs and keep them informed throughout the service process.
You will play an important role in helping us continue to build and develop our service department. As the department grows, there will be opportunities for additional responsibility and leadership.
What We're Looking For
Experienced marine technician with a robust understanding of marine systems
Comfortable diagnosing and troubleshooting problems independently
Experience with outboard, stern drive and/or inboard systems
Able to communicate comfortably and professionally with customers
Organized, dependable and able to manage multiple jobs
Takes pride in quality workmanship
Able to work independently while also being part of a small team
Mercury experience or certification is an asset, but not required
A valid driver's license is required
We are more interested in experience, ability and attitude than a long list of certificates. If you are an experienced marine technician who knows your way around a boat and can confidently deal with customers, we would like to hear from you.
