Join GFL in Saskatoon as an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This position involves maintaining and repairing our fleet, including Hydrovac and Highway trucks, ensuring top performance. As a Journeyman Mechanic at GFL, you'll work within the Fleet Maintenance division.
Your key tasks involve diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting routine maintenance, and repair on various trucks and high-pressure pumps. Leadership experience is preferred as you'll collaborate closely with the Shop Foreman and Lead Hand ensuring compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and diagnostics on fleet equipment
Repair mechanical systems including engines and hydraulic systems
Test repaired equipment for operational efficiency
Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs
Communicate effectively with team members Requirements:
Journeyman certificate in Truck and Transport or Heavy Equipment
Class 5 Drivers License; 1A or 3A preferred
Robust mechanical troubleshooting skills
Willingness to work overtime as needed
