Bring your mechanical expertise to the City of Woodstock as a Licensed Mechanic. This full-time, permanent role emphasizes diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance of various city vehicles.

This position reports to the Fleet Services Manager and requires a valid 310T or 310S license. Key skills include heavy equipment repairs, OEM software proficiency, and a thorough understanding of hydraulic systems. You will ensure city vehicles are operational and safe while adhering to the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Key Responsibilities: • Maintain and repair the city’s fleet of vehicles • Diagnose issues using manufacturer software • Perform mechanical repairs including brakes and engines • Conduct safety inspections per Ministry guidelines • Document work orders accurately for tracking

Requirements: • Grade 12 diploma or GED required • Valid 310T and 310S licenses in good standing • Experience with heavy equipment preferred • DZ driver’s license in valuable standing • Physical capability to lift heavy loads and work in various conditions
