The Program
Specialist role involves designing, administering, and evaluating income security programs critical to residents. This position significantly influences program delivery staff and recipients, ensuring effective support systems are in place. Candidates will utilize their expertise in program legislation, guidelines, and evaluation practices to enhance service impact in the community. Key Responsibilities:
Develop legislative and operational frameworks for income security programs
Interpret policies and guidelines to support program delivery
Monitor and evaluate program activities effectively
Produce reports, proposals, and documentation on programs
Collaborate with stakeholders in a complex workplace
Requirements:
Relevant post-secondary degree and 2 years’ experience in income security
Familiarity with public sector practices and policies
Solid research and analysis skills
Proven project management experience
Ability to write original reports and proposals
Impact the lives of individuals through income security program development and administration with the Government of the Northwest Territories.
