We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Labourer to join our team for year-round work, including the winter snow maintenance season. This position could lead to a full time lead hand role. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks that support the daily operations of our projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that work sites are protected, organized, and efficient.
Duties
Perform general labour tasks including loading and unloading materials.
Assist skilled tradespeople with their duties as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements
Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
Valid 'G' drivers license, with good driving abstract
Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
Solid attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Previous experience in construction or manual labor is preferred but not required.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks.
Valuable communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
