Responsibilities
Participation in feasibility assessments for product development projects;
Development, research, and qualification of mechanical and electromechanical components;
Creation of product concepts in 3D models;
Design of enclosures, systems, subsystems and parts, as well as PCB outline definition and mechanical component positioning on the PCB;
Make tolerance stackup analysis;
Creation of 3D models and 2D drawings including silkscreen using SolidWorks, FreeCad;
Study and propose corrections related to quality issues;
Create prototypes with 3D print.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial design engineering in progress;
Very valuable knowledge of 3D design using SolidWorks / FreeCad;
Interest in mechanical integration and enclosure design of electronic products;
Interest in learning and understanding the certification requirements in electromagnetic, electrical, and mechanical compliance (FCC, UL, CSA, CE, etc.);
Positive understanding of DFMA;
Ability to interact with multiple people, including subcontractors and suppliers;
Ability to multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously;
Passionate about his work and high-end technologies;
Autonomous, versatile and goal-oriented;
Valuable knowledge of English and French, spoken and written;
Knowledge of a programming/scripting language like Visual Basic would be an asset.
