Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and identify their flooring needs through active listening and effective communication
Provide expert advice on installation, renovation, and construction-related questions to support customer decisions
Conduct upselling and cross-selling by recommending complementary products such as moldings, underlayments, or finishing touches
Manage inside sales transactions utilizing POS systems, handle cashing and cashiering duties accurately, and process payments efficiently
Assist customers with product selection, merchandising displays,
and organizing samples to enhance the shopping environment
Build strong customer relationships through excellent service, account management, and follow-up on inquiries or orders
Skills
Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales with a focus on high-end products or renovation materials
Robust negotiation skills to close sales effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction
Knowledge of construction processes, renovation projects, and related terminology to assist clients confidently
Exceptional communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, basic math, and organizational skills for smooth transactions and record keeping
Ability to perform product merchandising and manage inside sales operations efficiently while maintaining a customer-focused approach
