Embark on a research journey with Natural Resources Canada as a Research Affiliate focused on battery degradation within materials acceleration. This position, located in Mississauga, offers hands-on experience for a full-time student.
The selected candidate will operate experimental battery cycling systems and develop advanced AI/RL models for predicting battery performance. This role is designed for students at Waterloo University specializing in Chemistry and encompasses responsibilities that include data modeling and results reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate experimental battery cycling system • Develop AI/RL models for battery state predictions • Model EIS data utilizing machine learning tools • Report findings verbally and in writing • Write scientific manuscripts on results
Requirements: • Full time student enrolled at Waterloo University • Proven experience with machine learning in electrochemical systems • Familiarity with programming in Python, R, or Julia • Capable of planning and analyzing experiments • Ability to meet reliability status security clearance
