Celebrating over 40 years in business the Fredericton Inn is the largest uptown hotel in Fredericton.

The Role:

The Fredericton Inn is looking for an Permanent, Part time, Evening , Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. The shifts for this position are: Thursday 4pm-11pm, Friday 4pm-11pm, Saturday 4pm-11pm.

Hotel Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities.

Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Register arriving guests and assign rooms
Process group arrivals and departures
Take, cancel and change room reservations
Provide information on hotel facilities and services
Provide general information about points of interest in the area
Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments
Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
Follow emergency and safety procedures,



Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying)
Handle wake-up calls
Provide customer service
Use proper telephone etiquette
Accommodate guest requests
Work closely with all hotel departments to improve service delivery and efficiency
Communicating with hotel staff on the status of guest rooms
Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
Handling cash payments

Requirements
Bilingual is an asset.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Criminal record check may be requested
Availability to work evening shifts any day of the week including weekends and holidays.
