Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team, Taylor & Mergui Law Group. This role offers an exciting opportunity to independently manage Accident Benefits (AB) files with the assistance of your team. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to take ownership of a file, move it forward, and manage their workload with minimal supervision.

What you will do:
Independently manage a caseload of Accident Benefits files
Handle files from intake through the various stages of the claim
Communicate directly with clients, insurers, adjusters, treatment providers and other parties
Manage deadlines, documentation and ongoing file strategy
Keep files organized, current and moving forward
Work with your own support team of production assistants and law clerks
Identify issues and take initiative rather than waiting for direction

What we are looking for:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Robust experience managing files independently
Accident Benefits (AB) experience is required




Excellent organization and file-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Someone who is confident, accountable and comfortable taking ownership of their work
