Located in the heart of Yorkville, Sassafraz has been a cornerstone of Toronto’s dining scene for over two decades. Our kitchen focuses on quality ingredients, refined technique, and a professional team culture built on respect, consistency, and collaboration.

We are currently seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for cooks who are comfortable managing a station in a fast-paced service setting and who take pride in executing dishes with precision and consistency.

Responsibilities
Execute menu items according to chef specifications and plating standards
Manage a station during service (meat, fish, hot apps or garde manger)
Prepare and maintain daily mise en place
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen team to ensure smooth service

Qualifications
3+ years experience in a professional or fine dining kitchen
Strong knife skills and cooking fundamentals
Ability to work cleanly and efficiently during high-volume service
Strong communication and teamwork in a brigade-style kitchen
Food Handler Certification preferred

Compensation & Benefits




$22 – $27 per hour depending on experience (including gratuities)
Full-time secure employment (approximately 40 hours per week)
