Lynnwood Learning Centre is seeking a Full time Kitchen Cook who is passionate about supporting children’s growth and well-being through nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a childcare environment and understands the important role food plays in children’s development.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Level 1 Early Childhood Certification
Valid SafeCheck Canadian Food Safety Certificate
Minimum 1 year of experience in a childcare setting
Experience cooking for large groups
Solid time management and organizational skills
Ability to adapt and problem-solve (e.g., meal substitutions when items are unavailable)

Key Responsibilities
Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation in accordance with Alberta licensing regulations




Prepare and cook meals and snacks following the daily and weekly menu plans
Plan and prepare food alternatives when ingredients are unavailable
Ensure all dietary restrictions, allergies, and individual needs of children are carefully followed
Complete daily dishwashing and kitchen cleaning duties
Fill out required kitchen documentation and forms
Remove kitchen garbage and recycling daily
Support classroom staff with child supervision when needed
