Job Summary

Join a dynamic team at our Client Organization Valley Environmental Services in New Market, Ontario as an Environmental Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting environmental research, data collection, and analysis efforts. This position offers an exciting chance to work on diverse environmental projects, utilizing your technical skills to monitor and assess ecological conditions. You will be responsible for collecting field data, operating specialized equipment, and assisting with environmental analysis to support sustainable environmental practices.

Key Responsibilities
Travel: This position requires frequent travel, with a 50% travel requirement.
Learning & Development: You must be willing to independently study and master air pollution testing methods.
Field Work: Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and maintaining a adaptable schedule, including weekend availability.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay: Market-competitive salary range of CA$40,000 – CA$110,000 annually, with eligibility for overtime pay.

Qualifications
Education: A diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering Technology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Licenses & Certifications:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (essential for the 50% travel requirement).
Fall Protection / Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and carry testing equipment (e.g., up to 50 lbs) and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and at elevated heights.
Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude for operating and troubleshooting field equipment, plus excellent attention to detail for accurate data collection.
