Forward Insurance Managers Ltd. is a Canadian InsurTech Managing General Agent (MGA) partnering with brokers and insurers to deliver specialized coverage solutions. We're growing our Vancouver team and looking for a detail-oriented Claims Assistant to support our claims function.

Location: Vancouver, BC

Key Accountabilities
Open, set up, and maintain claim files in the claims management system, ensuring accurate policy and loss data
Enter and update claim information tasks in a timely manner
Process incoming claim correspondence, documents, and reports accordingly
Track claim status and follow up on outstanding items to support timely resolution
Assist examiners with reserve entries and payment requests
Prepare assignment letters, opening and closing notices, and other standard claims correspondence
Maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Support reporting on claim volumes, aging, and cycle times as needed
Provide general administrative support to the claims department

Qualifications




High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business administration, insurance, or a related field is an asset
1–3 years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or claims support role; insurance industry experience is an asset
Enrollment in or willingness to pursue CIP (Chartered Insurance Qualified) designation is an asset
Solid data entry accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with claims management systems is an asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment
A proactive, customer-service-oriented approach

Salary Range: CAD $46,000–$56,000
