About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure food quality, consistency, and portion control.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work setting.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
Assist with food preparation, inventory management, and stock rotation (FIFO).
Monitor food temperatures and storage procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
Support receiving, storing, and labeling of food products.
Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and supervisors to meet service demands.
Minimize food waste and report inventory shortages or quality concerns.
Assist with kitchen opening and closing duties as required.

Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.

Reliable and punctual.
Knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen sanitation standards.
Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the culinary industry.
Culinary Diploma preferred.
MAPAQ Food Hygiene & Sanitation Certification an asset.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
