Army is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team, dedicated to serving individuals and families in the community. This role requires proficiency in preparing balanced meals while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining an effective kitchen. Your culinary skills will have a direct impact on community well-being and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
Plan meal utilization in line with established menus
Prepare a diverse range of food items and portions
Maintain cleanliness according to health standards and NHC




Supervise kitchen helpers and volunteers during service
Manage food inventory to minimize waste Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years cooking experience in a professional setting
Valid Food Secure Certification and transparent background checks
High School diploma or equivalent education
Knowledge of food safety and inventory management
Strong communication and organizational skills Serve our community by creating meals that uplift and provide essential nourishment at The Salvation Army's Nanaimo New Hope Centre.
