Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable 1:1 aide to support an 26-month-old child with special needs in our daycare setting. This role focuses on providing attentive, safety-focused care, including feeding support, and maintaining a calm, consistent presence throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized care, closely monitoring the child and responding thoughtfully to their needs.
Support feeding routines, including slower-paced feeds, following specific instructions, and recognizing cues related to fatigue, stress, or readiness.
Ensure the child’s safety at all times and respond appropriately in emergencies.
Collaborate effectively with parents, therapists, and daycare staff to follow care strategies consistently.
Maintain explicit communication and follow-through within daily routines and transitions.
Learn the child’s cues, routines, and preferences,



with training and support provided.

Qualifications:
Experience supporting children with disabilities is an asset.
Experience in daycare, early childhood education, or a related care setting is an asset.
Calm, attentive, and safety-first approach.
Patience and comfort with feeding support.
Dependable, punctual, and self-directed with strong follow-through.
Comfortable working as part of a care team.
Open and willing to learn, with a desire to build strong relationships.
Level 1 or 2 - Required
First Aid / CPR certification required.
