Position Overview
We are currently seeking two Skilled Torch Operators to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for cutting and processing scrap metal materials using oxy-fuel cutting torches in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
Operate oxy-acetylene / oxy-fuel cutting torches safely and efficiently
Cut oversized scrap metal to specification
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Work collaboratively with yard and production staff
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 1 - 2 years of torch cutting experience in scrap metal or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of secure torch handling and fire prevention procedures
Ability to identify different types of metals
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
CSA-approved steel-toe boots and full PPE compliance required
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Reliable transportation
