Job Type: Full time, Contract (Temporary to Permanent)

We are currently hiring a MIG Welder for a leading manufacturing facility in Milton. This is an excellent chance for someone with 1–2 years of welding and metal fabrication experience who enjoys working with blueprints, production welding, and high-quality manufacturing standards.

What you'll do:

As a MIG Welder, you'll be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal enclosures, frames, and prototype components while ensuring all work meets engineering drawings and quality specifications.

Key responsibilities include:
Perform MIG welding and specialized spot welding on production and prototype parts
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and manufacturing specifications
Set up, fit, clamp, and secure components using welding jigs and fixtures
Operate fabrication equipment including spot welders, oxy-acetylene torch, drill press, saws, grinders, and tapping machines
Inspect incoming components and verify finished welds meet quality standards
Use manufacturing software to access drawings and report production issues
Perform basic equipment maintenance following TPM procedures
Maintain Kanban inventory for structural steel and fabrication materials
Follow all safety,



quality (ISO 9001), environmental (ISO 14001), and Lean manufacturing procedures

Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
1–2 years of MIG welding and metal fabrication experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding blueprints
Experience with spot welding, fitting, and fabrication tools
Basic computer skills (Windows environment and manufacturing software)
Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred skills:
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work overtime when required
