Make an impact at Loblaw as an Applied Machine Learning Co-op student. Contribute to software development and data engineering in a hybrid work setting. In this 4-month winter term starting January 6, 2027, you'll support Loblaw's Applied Machine Learning team in addressing operational challenges.

While the name suggests machine learning, this role emphasizes software development, data engineering, and automation, with Python and SQL at the core. You’ll also collaborate with business partners to deliver practical technical solutions and experience the entire software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
Develop Python applications to automate business processes
Write SQL queries for enterprise datasets in BigQuery and Oracle




Design and deploy internal tools used across Supply Chain teams
Partner with business users to identify operational challenges
Investigate production issues and improve existing automation

Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field
Experience with Python applications and SQL queries
Ability to independently learn and solve ambiguous problems
Solid attention to detail and effective communication skills
Willingness to work in a hybrid mode with 4 days in-office
