THE ROLE: The successful candidate will be joining an agile software development team in the Telemetry Control Unit (TCU) organization, we are an energetic team that works on a variety of features providing functionality that impacts end customer experience.

: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced C++ Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in POSIX development within Linux environments and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, robust software. This role will be crucial in contributing quality software to the TCU application team in debugging and providing solutions, leading to the successful release of software on TCU in customer vehicles.

Responsibilities

WORK STATUS: Fully Onsite Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test,



and maintain C++ applications within a Linux environment. Looking for embedded development experience.
- Adhere to coding standards and best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability. C++11 or newer experience.
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement features.
- Contribute to the improvement of our development processes and tools.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
- Write clear and concise documentation.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proactively identify and address potential technical challenges.

Experience Required

- Minimum 3 years of experience in POSIX development on Linux.

Experience with specific POSIX APIs (e.g., pthreads, sockets, signal handling) is highly desirable.

- Solid proficiency in C++ programming, including modern C++ features (C++11 and beyond).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with debugging and profiling tools (e.g., gdb, valgrind).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Experience Preferred

- Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with build systems (e.g., CMake, Make).
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., gtest, ptest, c-unit).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Experience with specific Linux distributions (Ubuntu).
