Job Summary

Join our energetic construction team as a Carpenter Helper, where you'll play a vital role in supporting skilled carpenters and construction professionals to bring building projects to life. You'll assist with preparing materials, handling tools, and performing essential tasks that contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Responsibilities
Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools
Support the installation of drywall, cabinetry, flooring, siding, roofing, and other building components
Prepare job sites by cleaning work areas and organizing materials to ensure safety and efficiency
Carry out heavy lifting tasks to move materials and equipment safely around the site
Follow schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support accurate construction work
Support finishing tasks such as caulking, painting preparation,



and minor repairs under supervision

Skills
Experience or familiarity with drywall installation, flooring, tile laying, siding, roofing or masonry is a plus
Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws)
Knowledge of construction safety practices including heavy lifting techniques and proper tool usage
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces
Solid attention to detail for following technical instructions and schematics
Prior experience in carpentry or handyman work is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential

Applicants must currently reside in the Timmins area or be able to reliably commute to local job sites. Relocation assistance in not provided.

Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
