Job Summary
The Poke Guy is seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong multitasking skills, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a timely manner
Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
Manage cashier duties such as processing payments, giving change, and issuing receipts
Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, food prep stations, and equipment
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures




Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Assist in opening or closing duties as assigned

Experience
Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Experience with cashiering, food preparation, or serving roles is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is desirable
Solid customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
