.Our clinic’s patient population includes adults and children with strabismus (eye misalignment), amblyopia (“lazy eye”), learning related vision problems, post trauma vision syndrome (concussion), and special needs children. Help us change their lives!
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive vision assessments to identify visual deficiencies and determine appropriate therapy plans
Implement customized vision therapy exercises using specialized equipment and techniques
Educate patients and their families about the importance of vision therapy and proper at-home exercises
Track patient progress meticulously, adjusting therapy protocols as needed for optimal results
Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment plans
Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions, progress notes, and therapy outcomes using electronic health records systems such as Epic
Ensure a safe, welcoming environment that encourages patient engagement and motivation throughout the therapy process
Skills
Strong knowledge of optical principles and visual development techniques
Experience with medical office procedures, including patient scheduling and record keeping
Ability to communicate medical terminology clearly to patients of all ages
Previous experience in medical or optical settings is advantageous
Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases efficiently
Pay: $20.00-$29.00 per hour
