Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance their comfort and independence
Support seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized care plans tailored to their unique needs
Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected
Maintain a clean and safe workplace by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning client living areas and laundry
Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive, engaging atmosphere
Document care activities thoroughly in client records and communicate any changes or concerns to the healthcare team promptly
Qualifications
Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly valued
Demonstrated experience in senior care, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently
Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; training opportunities may be available for qualified candidates
Experience working with individuals who have special needs or require assisted living support is an asset
