We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Paving Laborer to join our paving crew. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth, high-quality asphalt placement by supporting the paving machine, managing edges, and maintaining a clean, secure work area. Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the paving crew to ensure proper asphalt placement and compaction.
Use a rake to spread, level, and smooth asphalt around curbs, manholes, and edges.
Assist the screed operator and laborers with material flow and surface consistency.
Maintain clean edges and transitions for a high-quality finished product.
Monitor mat thickness and surface texture, making adjustments as needed.
Support safe work practices by following all company and regulatory safety requirements.
Set up and maintain traffic control devices when required.
Assist with general labor tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, and site cleanup.




Communicate effectively with the paving foreman and crew to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in asphalt paving or road construction is an asset, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
Ability to work long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physically fit and able to lift, bend, shovel, and stand for extended periods.
Robust awareness of safety practices and willingness to follow all safety protocols.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.
Valid driver’s license; additional tickets (e.g., traffic control, WHMIS) are an asset.
