IWK Health is hiring an Associate Physician for Pediatric Critical Care in Halifax. This permanent position emphasizes the delivery of quality critical care for pediatric patients in need.

As a part of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, you'll be responsible for direct patient care and fostering effective teamwork among healthcare professionals. Candidates with a background in Pediatrics and a preference for Critical Care sub-specialization will thrive in this role. You will also engage in educational activities and enhance quality standards within the PICU.

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute critical care for patients in the PICU setting
• Lead discussions on quality improvement and clinical education




• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team for optimal outcomes
• Supervise by the main Pediatric Intensivist
• Innovate ways to improve patient care delivery

Requirements:
• Completion of RCPSC Residency training in Pediatrics
• Ability to pass licensing exams required
• Current PALS certification must be valid
• Demonstrated flexibility and leadership skills
• Solid communication and problem-solving ability
