The City of North Vancouver is actively seeking a temporary Planner 2 for a six-month assignment. This role is perfect for a current planning professional with a solid background in land use policies and urban design. You will guide the review of Official Community Plans and development applications while engaging with community members and coordinating the city’s responses.

Key Responsibilities:



• Review complex Official Community Plans and rezoning applications • Lead public engagement processes for development proposals • Negotiate amenities and review consultant studies • Prepare Council reports and present findings • Supervise technical and skilled staff as needed

Requirements: • University degree in relevant field • Post-graduate degree in Community/Regional Planning/Urban Design • Strong urban design and communication skills • Experience in development planning and project management • Eligibility for membership in the Planning Institute of B.C.
