Responsibilities
Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning workstations, sinks, and surrounding surfaces
Sort and organize clean items for proper storage or immediate use in food preparation and service areas
Assist with basic food handling tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and hygiene standards




Monitor dishwashing supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing
Support team members by helping with light cleaning duties to uphold a hygienic setting

Skills
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards in a food service setting
Previous restaurant or hotel experience preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers is advantageous
Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
Excellent attention to detail to ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Good teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff and hospitality goals
