Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide essential support to individual in home setting in Summerland. This role involves assisting client with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. Experience in home care environments is highly valued but no experience required for the right fit. The position offers an chance to make a meaningful difference in the life of individual with disabilities.

Duties
Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility needs
Provide support with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, and toileting
Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
Administer medications following prescribed instructions
Perform housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe environment
Assist clients with mobility exercises when necessary
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
Pet loving individual an asset
Maintain confidentiality at all times





Requirements
Prior experience in home care is an asset but not required for the right fit.
Knowledge of patient care techniques, an asset but will train to client personal requirements
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
Solid caregiving skills with patience, compassion, and excellent communication abilities
Certification in medication administration is a plus but not required
Ability to work independently
Flexibility to work various shifts an asset
Valid driver’s license may be required for certain roles involving transportation of clients

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
