The Physical Therapist I (PT) is responsible for providing direct client focused therapeutic care, in collaboration and consultation with other members of the interdisciplinary team. The PT assesses physical status of clients, participates in the development and implementation of an integrated plan of care. The PT is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Graduate of a Physical Therapy program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta is required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, as well as close supportive contact with patients. The role involves frequent bending, pulling, lifting, and wide-ranging physical movements, including changing positions and assuming awkward postures. Responsibilities also include transferring and/or lifting adult patients and transporting equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting is considered an asset. Solid verbal and written communication skills are required, along with the ability to maintain focus for extended periods. Demonstrated ability to address patient and family concerns in a respectful and diplomatic manner. Commitment to continuous learning is expected. Current graduates are welcome to apply.
