Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight and cargo to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts or other heavy machinery, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of goods
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance as needed to ensure optimal performance
Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and delivery records for accountability and tracking purposes
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required, following safety guidelines at all times
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards throughout all aspects of the delivery process
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery preferred
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and transportation regulations
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
Robust organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety procedures
Physical ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and operate heavy machinery safely
Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is highly desirable
