Smiles of Canada is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant / Dental Administrator to join our Torbay, NL office. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys both clinical assisting and front desk responsibilities while providing outstanding patient care.
Location: 1296 Torbay Rd, Torbay, NL A1K 1K5
ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dentist during procedures.
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection prevention and control standards.
Take digital X-rays
Prepare patients for treatment and provide post-operative instructions.
Maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
Administrative Duties
Welcome and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
Schedule and confirm appointments.
Manage patient recalls and follow-up appointments.
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
Prepare insurance estimates and submit claims.
Process payments and maintain accurate patient records.
Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
Dental Assisting certification (Level I or Level II Required).
Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental office.
Experience with dental software such as Oryx or similar.
Knowledge of insurance claims, billing, and scheduling.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in English.
