Duties & Responsibilities
The counter/parts person position is an important member of the store team, and is primarily responsible for:
· Handling orders and requests for parts by providing efficient, courteous, and skilled services to telephone, electronic, and over-the- counter customers
· Preparing customer orders and handling product returns including returning unsold items to stock
· Assisting with daily operations, including, but not limited to: maintaining inventory, stock levels, and assisting with store displays
· Processing payment transactions and handling cash on a daily basis
· Assist with training and development of new team members
· Other duties as required
Qualifications
· Automotive Technician, or Parts Technician field experience is considered an asset
· 2 years of experience in a similar role is considered an asset
· Automotive aftermarket and parts background and/or knowledge
· Heavy duty parts knowledge is considered an asset
· Exceptional customer service and communication skills
· Ability to use computers
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Starting wage dependent on experience
