The Blue Horizon seeks an energetic and enthusiastic full-time Front Desk Guest Services Agent to join our team.

We are well located in the heart of Robson Street with its wonderful variety of shops and eateries for every taste and budget. Our guests enjoy spectacular panoramic views of our beautiful city with the English Bay water view being the favourite.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Proven Hotel Front Desk skills and a strong working knowledge of hospitality service for a hands on position
Strong working knowledge of the local area
Ability to make meaningful connections with guests, and have a positive impact on their experience
Able to multi-task, be effective, respond knowledgeably and promptly to questions and variety of situations

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provide warm welcome and efficiently check guests in and out
Knowledgeably answer inquiries on hotel services, as well as attractions and services available in the area
Timely action on guest requests
Maintain confidentiality of information
Accurately complete reports and shift deposit
Professional personal appearance




Remain current on room rates, room availability, groups, events to facilitate reservations
Knowledgeable on emergency procedures
Actively participate in creating and maintaining a safe workplace

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
Experience working at a Hotel Front Desk or similar work workplace
Understand the importance of guest service experience
Excellent time management
Adaptable and able to handle multiple priorities
Enthusiastic and focused to exceed guest expectations
Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Capable of proactive problem solving and decision making
