Main Responsibilities: Works in Shipping/Receiving area. Verifies incoming parts and organizes their distribution into the production area. Prepares related documents and determines proper shipping methods for ensuring on time delivery to customers.
Duties:
Unpack received parts, pack outgoing parts
Inspect and verify incoming parts, confirm receiving documents match customer contract
Note and report discrepancies and obvious damages
Ensure correct parts and documentation accompany incoming and outgoing work orders
Operate software/databases of shipping companies (i.e. FedEx, UPS)
Accurately complete parts picking requests in a timely manner
Re-fill shop floor bin inventory, as required
Suggest improvements to procedures, to improve process time, and/or reduce costs
Coordinate and monitor logistics of the movement of parts and supplies and ensure supplies, materials are shipped and received on schedule
Prepare and process all customs documents for international and U.S. Shipments
Qualifications (Skills/Knowledge):
Able to read and comprehend complex documents
Solid aptitude for reading part numbers, serial numbers and quantities correctly
Basic mathematics skills
Customer contact skills
Must have experience using Microsoft Office products
Attention to detail
Qualifications (Education and Experience):
Experience shipping with FedEx, UPS, DHL and Purolator preferred
Experience using inventory ERP systems would be an asset
Aerospace background an asset
High School Diploma/ Post Secondary Education Preferred
Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
