Job Requirements:
-The Powder Coat Department consist of a batch system versus a continuous line.
Selects product based on colour requirements and batches according to production schedules.
Hangs product on racking and applies the appropriate masking products.
Power washes and rinses product to ensure product is properly degreased.
Moves the loaded product racks through the various processes - wash / dry-off / powder coating / cure oven.
Applies the correct powder as defined on the work orders.
Removes finished product from the racks and prepares the product for shipping.
Qualifications & Skills:
Candidates need to be in positive physical condition with the ability to complete repetitive lifts (up to 20 kg) from floor to shoulder height.
Some very basic blue print reading is required to determine masking requirements.
Previous powder coating experience is preferred.
Must have strong technical/mechanical aptitude
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
