Responsibilities:
Possess a positive understanding and working knowledge of general machine shop equipment (grinders, mills, drills, tig welding) as well as progressive stamping dies (automotive tooling experience is preferred).
Perform preventive maintenance on automotive stamping dies while also working with team members to suggest and implement continuous improvement measures based on available efficiency metrics.
-Must be able to manually machine parts to a print as well as from a sample part
-Must be able to weld and rework punches and dies
Must have a solid understanding of GD&T;
Must be able to trouble shoot dies both in the press and on the shop floor.
You will be a self starter and have the ability to work independently or as part of a agile team.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of machining techniques and equipment operation
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Attention to detail and precision in workmanship
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Press Troubleshooting Experience in a production Environment
