We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support within a busy multiple doctor Cardiology practice , ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Experience with medical office systems and a robust understanding of medical terminology are essential for success in this position.
Duties
Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner at the front desk
Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and confirm patient visits
Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Iclinic & Cerner
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying patient information
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date
Support clinical staff by coordinating patient flow and managing appointment schedules
Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies
Perform general office duties to maintain an organized and efficient work setting
Experience
Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant is highly preferred
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is essential
Proven experience in office administration, including handling multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor
Qualifications:
Education: Medical Office Assistant diploma or certification preferred
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, ideally cardiology, internal medicine or respirology
