Duties
Assist experienced diesel mechanics in performing routine maintenance and repairs on various types of diesel vehicles.
Learn to diagnose diesel mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Participate in the inspection of diesel vehicles to identify potential problems.
Help with the replacement of parts such as brakes, tires, and batteries.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working in the shop setting.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Basic understanding of diesel automotive systems and components is a plus.
Strong willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals.
Ability to work effectively in a team workplace as well as independently.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks as required.
