Infinite Accounting Solutions is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This is a maternity cover position, with the intention of offering a permanent position to the right candidate at the end of the maternity leave period. We're looking for someone who has a solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals, is comfortable learning recent systems, and takes pride in producing accurate and organized work.
Responsibilities
Complete day-to-day bookkeeping for assigned clients
Record and categorize transactions accurately
Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Assist with payroll-related bookkeeping
Maintain supporting documentation and organized client files
Work within QuickBooks Online and other bookkeeping applications
Follow client-specific procedures and internal checklists
Identify discrepancies and ask questions when something doesn't look right
Assist with month-end bookkeeping and reporting
Communicate with clients and team members regarding missing information and bookkeeping questions
What We're Looking For
Approximately 1+ year of bookkeeping experience
Experience with QuickBooks Online
Good understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable working with multiple clients and deadlines
Organized and able to manage recurring tasks
Strong problem-solving skills
Willingness to ask questions and learn
Ability to follow established processes while recognizing when something may need further review
Experience with Dext, payroll, GST/PST, or other bookkeeping software is an asset
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is reliable, curious, detail-oriented and eager to learn. You don't need to know every system we use, we're happy to train the right person.
