We are seeking a energetic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver specializing in refrigerated freight to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate a Class 1 commercial truck equipped with refrigeration units, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of temperature-sensitive cargo across various routes. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of perishable goods while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
Safely operate a Class 1 commercial truck with reefer capabilities, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
Transport refrigerated freight efficiently between distribution centers, warehouses, and customer locations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including refrigeration units, to ensure optimal operation and safety
Manage freight loading and unloading processes, utilizing forklift or heavy equipment as needed to secure cargo properly
Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on the vehicle and refrigeration systems to prevent breakdowns
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip,
including temperature records for sensitive cargo
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Qualifications
Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
pay:0.60 per mile
Proven experience operating refrigerated trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a commercial setting
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot refrigeration systems when necessary
Proficiency in using forklift or other heavy equipment for loading and unloading freight
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate logs and documentation
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
