Location: Morley, AlbertaPosition: Full time / Project-Based
We are looking for an experienced hoe/excavator operator for water line construction work in Morley.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working around existing utilities, excavating and backfilling water lines, grading, trenching, and working closely with ground crews.
Responsibilities
Operate excavator/hoe for water line installation and repair
Dig trenches to proper grade and depth
Work safely around existing utilities and infrastructure
Assist with water service connections, excavation and backfill
Load trucks and move material as required
Perform basic equipment inspections and daily maintenance
Communicate effectively with supervisors and ground crews
Follow site safety procedures and project specifications
Qualifications
Previous excavator/hoe operating experience required
Water line,
underground utility or civil construction experience strongly preferred
Must be confident working in tight areas and around utilities
Able to read grades and understand excavation depths
Reliable and able to work independently
Valid driver’s licence
Safety tickets are an asset
We are looking for someone who is genuinely comfortable in the seat and can work efficiently without sacrificing safety or quality.
Experience with water mains, service lines, hydrants, valves or underground utilities will be given preference.
