Junior Structural Detailer & Architectural Drafter
Northern Industrial Liners Corporation — Calgary, AB

Northern Industrial is looking for an experienced Junior Structural Detailer to support our structural steel detailing, shop drawings, and spec building program. You'll work closely with our Preconstruction, Estimating, and Production teams to make sure detailing data is accurate and projects move from design to the shop floor without costly rework.
Job Responsibilities: Typical responsibilities include designing and detailing structural steel drawings, interpreting architectural and structural drawings, and preparing shop drawings.

What you bring:
1+years of experience in structural steel detailing, drafting, or a related technical role
Proficiency with structural steel detailing software (e.g., Tekla Structures, SDS2, AutoCAD Advance Steel)
Robust attention to detail,



this role's output directly affects estimating and production accuracy
Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings and specifications
Transparent, effective communication across multiple teams (Estimating, Preconstruction, Production)
Diploma or degree in Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related technical field (asset)
Working knowledge of structural steel fabrication, connection details, and applicable codes and standards
